Peer Support

Peer Support

Passionate About People

Volunteering with Peer Support involves taking part in a weekend-long training session on how to properly encourage discussion. With Peer Support you are provided with the opportunity to develop supportive listening skills.

Peer Support volunteers go through a one-on-one interview prior to being accepted to volunteer with the service. Attendance at a two-day weekend training retreat
is mandatory prior to any volunteer service with Peer Support. This is a confidential service.

Peer support volunteer positions are available at both the City Centre Campus and Centre for the Arts. Please note Peer Support’s volunteer intake is only in the Fall Semester, and recruitment closes as soon as all positions are filled

Students Helping Students

Peer Support is a student-operated program that provides students with a safe, confidential environment to discuss life’s stresses and tough situations with a trained listener.
