What is Students’ Council?
The Students’ Council is the highest governing body of the Students’ Association of MacEwan University (SAMU) and consists of 14 elected members of the student body. SAMU runs a number of services, organizes student events like Fall Fest and the Speaker Series, and lobbies on behalf of MacEwan students. Students’ Council approves bylaws and writes the policies that govern the activities of SAMU, and ensures expectations have been met.
Essentially, the Students’ Council speaks on behalf of MacEwan students, and helps to make sure you concerns are being addressed and that your university experience is the best it can be. So it’s definitely a good idea to vote.
Congrats to the 14 successful candidates who will represent YOU on Students’ Council!
