Have you ever wondered why your dog always seems to be scratching itself? Or why your cat always looks so grumpy? As pet owners, we sometimes take for granted that our furry friends are always happy and healthy. But the truth is, just like us, they can get sick too. And when they do, it’s important to have a good understanding of how to keep them healthy and how to identify early signs of illness.
Dr. Natasha P. Russell is a veterinarian who is passionate about helping pet owners better understand their pet’s health. She will be presenting a talk at SAMU on the importance of practical education in improving our understanding of pet health.

Pet ownership is a fun and rewarding experience, but it’s also important to remember that pets require care and attention. Part of being a responsible pet owner is staying up-to-date on the latest information about pet health. Our goal is to spread the word about practical educational frameworks for pet families to build their knowledge and understanding.

By knowledge sharing useful ‘preventative healthcare’ tools, we can all better understand how to promote a healthier lifestyle and become better at identifying body changes associated with systemic and chronic diseases sooner than later. We believe that by working together, we can make a difference in the lives of our furry friends.
