DESCRIPTION:MACEWAN RAISED YOUR TUITION\nJOIN THE CAMPAIGN AND TELL THEM: DON’T BUDGET OFF OUR BACKS!\n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Letter CAMPAIGN is now closed\n– Send a letter to MacEwan through the form above!\n– Join our peaceful sit-in on March 26 at the student lounge from 12:30-1:30\, and tell MacEwan how this impacts you!\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Starting Fall 2026\, you will have to pay more for your courses and Mandatory Non-Instructional Fees. \nTuition is set to increase by 2% for domestic students and 10% for international students. On top of that\, nearly all Mandatory Non-Instructional Fees (MNIFs) will increase\, with the mental health MNIF doubling in cost. This is one of the highest tuition hikes in Alberta. In fact\, MacEwan is on pace to introduce the highest international student tuition increase across all Alberta universities. \nMeanwhile\, food insecurity continues to run rampant across campus. Students are sacrificing safety and comfort\, living in unsafe and unkempt housing just to afford school. At a time when students are already stretched thin\, these increases add yet another burden. \nSPEAK UP and let university leaders know that you deserve better from your institution. When there’s enough money in the accounts to build a new building while already planning for the next one\, then there is also enough money to maintain quality without burdening students further. JOIN OUR CAMPAIGN by submitting a letter and participating in our peaceful sit-in on March 26.

Attendees will be required to have their bags examined before entrance. It is recommended that attendees store their bags before attending the event.
