The Pantry

Being a student is costly. The Pantry is a confidential service that students can access twice a month (the first between the first and 15th of the month, and the second between the 16th and the final day of the month), for a three-to-five day hamper of non-perishable food items. Hampers are available in regular, vegetarian, gluten free, vegan and no pork options.

The Pantry is available to all full- and part-time students.

How does it work?
First, fill out the request a hamper form (see below). If you have used the Pantry in the last year, please fill out a “returning clients” form.
You can choose from picking up a pre-made hamper, where our volunteers assemble a hamper for you, or a “build your own hamper” where you can go through the Pantry and build your own according to your taste (and with some guidelines from us). Once you’ve completed the form you can visit us in person at SA-223 where a volunteer will help you.

Help us minimize waste by bringing your own reusable bags!

Students at Alberta College Campus (ACC) can visit the SAMU Office (Room 118). Students using The Pantry at ACC will not be able to build their own hampers, but may come to City Centre Campus (CCC) to create their own.

The Pantry is open 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday- Friday
