Student Advocacy Office
The SAMU Student Advocacy Office provides MacEwan students with support and guidance during instances of conflict with their faculty and the University. Although students are responsible for knowing the policies and procedures of MacEwan University as they relate to academic appeals and student discipline cases, SAMU is here to provide support and guidance throughout the process.
We can help with:
- Academic appeals
- Student discipline cases
- Appeals such as plagiarism, cheating, and improper collaboration
Dealing with the University, especially in times of conflict, can be intimidating for students. We are here to advocate for the University’s processes to be fair and reasonable for students.
See some tips on avoiding academic misconduct here!
For COVID-specific concerns, check out this post for a list of resources.
