Vision of SAMU’S Stressless Program
StressLess programming focuses on mental health resources, stress relief, and student wellness through a number of initiatives throughout both the fall and winter semesters, especially around mid-terms and finals.
The StressLess program provides activities such as a free coffee station, free yoga, wellness dog visits, and snack bags. Our Wellbeing Assistant develops tips, tricks and more for each moment in the school year where you’re feeling the most stressed out. Take a deep breath and give yourself a moment, maybe you’ll find something that helps calm your mind!

Peer Support live chat
Welcome to Peer Support Live Chat. This is a text based confidential service comprised of highly trained volunteers who are here to listen and provide resources. Our volunteers are not registered psychologists; they are students from MacEwan University and go through a rigorous screening process. Please remember we are considered a short-term service and we can direct you to longer term services if needed.
Full Live Chat conversations can take anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes. If you do not have that amount of time, a shorter session can be accommodated.
During our hours of operation a chat pop up will appear in the bottom right-hand corner.

Student Refugee Program
Each term, $2.50 of your student fees goes towards supporting SAMU’s Student Refugee Program (SRP). Working with World University Service of Canada (WUSC), SRP funds the tuition and housing of a refugee student for four years. With the help of a local committee group made up of students and staff, SAMU ensures all the sponsored student’s needs are met throughout their time at MacEwan.
