Cooking is not solely about feeding oneself– through cooking one comes to learn about the land and their relationship with it, their traditions, and their community. Particularly in America. The story of Black cooking is a tale of resilience and ingenuity. Black folks have learned to keep their traditions alive via cooking and the storytelling involved in it.
