Ticket Details

MacEwan students must also provide valid MacEwan student ID to enter the venue. Tickets become available for purchase on December 10th. Tickets must be purchased by a MacEwan student. Attendees must be 18 years or older to redeem a guest ticket.

What is Winter Fest?

We’re excited to present Winter Fest, SAMU’s largest event of the Winter Term! Hosted off-campus in the second week of classes, this ticketed concert features a full slate of local and touring artists at the Starlite Room* for MacEwan students and their guests.

* The Starlite Room is an 18+ venue. Government-issued ID is required for entry.

Contest Details and Terms and Condtions

Event Date: June 28, 2025
Venue: Double Dragon, Edmonton

Eligibility: Open only to current MacEwan University students. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. A valid MacEwan student email address is required.

Entry Period: Entries open on April 27 at 2:00 p.m. MST and close on June 24 at 12:00 a.m. MST.

Prize Details: At least one winner will receive two (2) free tickets to the Young Friend concert. Additional winners may be selected depending on the number of entries and ticket availability.

Winner Selection & Notification: Winners will be selected at random from eligible entries and notified by MacEwan email and/or phone. If a selected winner does not respond within 48 hours, a new winner may be selected.

General Terms: By entering, you consent to SAMU collecting and using your contact information solely for the purpose of administering this giveaway. SAMU is not responsible for event cancellations, ticketing issues, or venue policies. SAMU may verify eligibility and reserves the right to disqualify entries or cancel the giveaway at any time.

SAMU reserves the right to end the giveaway at any time. Late, non-student, or incomplete entries will not be considered.
