The SAMU Student Advocacy Centre is excited to welcome several academic supports from across campus for an expo where you can learn all about the different supports available to you as a MacEwan student.
The SAMU Student Advocacy Centre empowers students to build a foundation of self-advocacy to address their academic or non-academic issues. The Centre provides a confidential and judgment-free space where students can share their situation and receive personalized supports.
The Wellness and Psychological Services (WPS) office provides all MacEwan students with free, confidential, short-term individual and group counselling, and case management. They also host events, workshops and other activities. They support faculty and staff by answering their questions about wellness supports.
The Writing Centre offers writing and communication-focused support to students across disciplines. Their support comes in a variety of forms, including synchronous in-person and online consultations, asynchronous writing feedback, writing workshops and events, and digital and multimodal learning resources.
Striving to be welcoming and student-centered, the Library advances the learning, teaching, scholarly, and creative endeavours of the university community. They provide borrowing services as well as access to many academic journals, databases, textbook resources and many more. Additionally, the Library is home to the Writing Centre and Makerspace.
