ART AFTER HOURS: CALL FOR ARTISTS

Are you an artist at MacEwan looking to display your talent? You are invited to submit your work to Art After Hours: an immersive and thought-provoking evening where your art will not only be viewed, but experienced!
HONOURARIUM: all featured artists will receive a $50 gift card!
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: MAR 10, 2026
HAVE YOUR ART FEATURED IN THE SAMU BUILDING
Art After Hours attendees will vote on their favourite work; at the end of the evening, SAMU will offer to purchase the piece with the most votes for $500! SAMU will feature the purchased work in the SAMU building.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Paintings
- Photography
- Textiles and Mixed Media
- Digital and New Media
SUBMISSION NOTE
Artwork submissions must abide by the following restrictions:
- No use of offensive language
- No inappropriate or gory art pieces
- No politically centered art pieces
- No pieces that contain violent imagery
- Work that is not the submitting artist’s original creation
Submissions that violate any of these restrictions will be discarded.
All selected artists must complete a waiver. This waiver will be sent to featured artists upon their selection and must be completed prior to the event date.
