SAMU surveys give MacEwan students the opportunity to share feedback on academics, housing, mental health, food insecurity, transportation, and more. Student responses help strengthen advocacy efforts and improve the university experience while giving students chances to win prizes.

SAMU runs regular surveys to better understand the issues that impact MacEwan students. These surveys give you a way to directly share your experiences, priorities, and concerns on topics like mental health, food security, and other issues.

Mental Health Survey | October 2026
SAMU is looking to better understand the state of student mental health at MacEwan University and what contributes to the challenges you face. This survey is your chance to tell us what your needs are and how we can advocate on your behalf.
Food Security Survey | February 2027
Whether food security concerns impact you or not, your perspectives provide SAMU with the insight required to advocate for supports that meet students where they are at. By taking our food security survey, you can better inform SAMU of how this issue impacts MacEwan students.

Every year, SAMU holds the Experience Survey (formerly known as the Spring Student Survey) to reflect on your academic year and gather valuable insights to better serve students. From questions about programs and services to the events you’d like SAMU to host, this survey helps us understand how we can make your student life at MacEwan University smoother and more enjoyable.

Each time you complete a SAMU survey, you’re entered to win great prizes! Every survey features one $500 gift card plus five $100 gift cards to win.
Plus, every time you take a SAMU survey, you’re entered into our Grand Prize Draw for one of the following:
