CALL FOR ARTISTS: MURAL UNDER THE STAIRS

Want to see your work featured prominently in our building? We’re looking for a talented artist to create a mural design under the stairs on SAMU’s first floor!

STYLE: URBAN BOTANICAL ABSTRACT
At MacEwan University, we exist in the heart of Edmonton’s urban environment, but nature is just around the corner. You need only to take a short walk to be surrounded by the Edmonton River Valley, and only to drive a few hours to find yourself in one of Canada’s many beautiful National Parks.
We are seeking a talented and thoughtful artist to bring a touch of that nature into our SAMU Building. When creating your design, consider the use of natural motifs and how they can co-exist with the built environment, and the feeling these spaces create. Please see the images below for additional reference.
DESIGN REQUIREMENTS:
- Size:
- Front Panel: 118.25″ wide x 84″ high (excluding the entrance door)
- Side Panel: 247″ wide x 84″ high
- Design requirements
- Ensure you provide your design in a high enough resolution that it may easily print to a vinyl wrap.
- Your design must not include explicit or violent imagery, or imagery that depicts the use of controlled substances or illegal activity.
LOCATION: 1st Floor SAMU Building, Under The Stairs
Your artwork will immediately be noticeable to those entering, leaving and existing on the first floor of the SAMU Building. Please see photos below for a visual of this space. You may also visit the SAMU Building at 10850-104 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB between 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM on week days and 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM on weekends to see this space in person.
