MEET YOUR ACADEMIC SUPPORTS

SAMU Student Advocacy Centre
The Student Advocacy Centre works to build a foundation of self-advocacy for all students during their time at MacEwan University by providing resources and support. Whether it is an academic or non-academic concern the SAMU Student Advocacy Centre promotes fairness to ensure that students understand their rights and responsibilities as members of the MacEwan Community.

MacEwan Library Services
Striving to be welcoming and student-centered, the Library advances the learning, teaching, scholarly, and creative endeavours of the university community. They provide borrowing services as well as access to many academic journals, databases, textbook resources and many more. Additionally, the Library is home to the Writing Centre and Makerspace.

Writing Centre
The Writing Centre offers writing and communication-focused support to students across disciplines. Their support comes in a variety of forms, including synchronous in-person and online consultations, asynchronous writing feedback, writing workshops and events, and digital and multimodal learning resources.

Student Success Centre
The Student Success Centre enables you to perform your best, achieve your potential and make the most of your university education. They are here to help you set yourself up for success with effective study strategies and work habits that you can use long after graduation.

Access and Disability Resources
Access and Disability Resources (ADR) ensures accommodations are in place that allow you to access your post-secondary education fully and equitably. If you are a student with a disability or medical condition, their staff can arrange the accommodations and services you need to remove barriers from your learning environment.

Makerspace
The Makerspace provides tools, materials, and support to students, faculty and staff so you can create with technology like 3D printing, scanning, programming and 360 cameras that connect the digital with the physical. We are here to help you level up your innovation in pursuit of your research, class and personal projects. Everything at the Makerspace is 100% free.
