Students appointed to MacEwan committees will serve during the academic year, beginning as early as August 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2027. Official committee appointment terms may vary based on time of appointment.

WHAT DO MACEWAN COMMITTEE STUDENT MEMBERS DO?
Attend all committee meetings
Prepare for committee meetings by reviewing agenda materials in advance*
Prepare relevant insights and other notes prior to meeting attendance
Provide an additional student perspective on each committee
*Support from SAMU can be provided if requested.

HONOURARIUM – GET PAID!
Student Members of these Committees are provided an honourarium for each meeting they attend. Honourariums are provided to students at the end of their term, as per SAMU procedures.
