ART AFTER HOURS
CALL FOR ARTISTS!
Are you an artist at MacEwan looking to display your talent? You are invited to submit your work to Art After Hours: an immersive and thought-provoking evening where your art will not only be viewed, but experienced!
Selected works will thoughtfully staged in a gallery environment that encourages connection and conversation through discovery. Share your work with others in this welcoming setting.
Applications are open on FEB 16th, 2026
HONOURARIUM: all featured artists will receive a $50 gift card!
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: MAR 6, 2026
HAVE YOUR ART FEATURED IN THE SAMU BUILDING
Art After Hours attendees will vote on their favourite work; at the end of the evening, SAMU will offer to purchase the piece with the most votes for $500! SAMU will feature the purchased work in the SAMU building.

- Digital and New Media
SELECTION PROCESS
We are selecting works based on: clarity of concept, quality of craftsman ship, diversity of medium and voice, and installation feasibility. While we welcome all interested artists to submit their work, limited space means we may not select all submitted works to feature at this event.
SUBMISSION NOTE
Artwork submissions must abide by the following restrictions:

No use of offensive language

No inappropriate or gory art pieces

No politically centered art pieces
-
No pieces that contain violent imagery
- Work that is not the submitting artist’s original creation
Submissions that violate any of these restrictions will be discarded.
All selected artists must complete a waiver. This waiver will be sent to featured artists upon their selection and must be completed prior to the event date.
