Student Leadership

WHAT IS student leadership

Student leaders at SAMU shape the direction of the Students’ Association through good governance, strategic planning, and advocacy. Students’ Council—SAMU’s highest decision-making body—is made up of 14 elected Councilors and 5 Executive Committee members (President and Vice-Presidents).

Together, they guide SAMU by setting bylaws, policies, and priorities that support current and future students. Elections are held each Fall (Councilors) and Winter (Executive). If you want a seat at the table and a voice in your student experience, consider running for one of our amazing student leadership opportunity’s.
