SAMU recently celebrated an advocacy win of reducing the Deferred Exam Fee from $75/deferral to $50/deferral (to a maximum of $150/semester) for MacEwan students.
This change came from numerous conversations with MacEwan administration, initiated by the former Vice President Acadmeic and carried forward by the Vice President Student Life. While our work to address educational affordability continues, we are encouraged by this change and its immediate impact on student need.
