In addition to being a ten day flurry of fair grounds and deep fried food, the Calgary Stampede is one of Canada’s largest political networking events of the year, and your SAMU representatives were right there alongside decisionmakers, advocating for your needs.
Through engaging with Stampede events, Fansi was able to speak with leaders at all levels of government, making sure the student voice was heard and recognized. Some highlight interactions include:

- MLA Naheed Nenshi, leader of the official opposition

These engagements and genuine connections have laid the foundation for future conversations and partnerships with representatives in government, ultimately strengthening SAMU’s efforts in influencing student-centered policy.
