On November 19th, the Government of Alberta tabled Bill 9, the Protecting Alberta’s Children Statutes Amendment Act, invoking the notwithstanding clause to defend previously introduced legislation targeting gender-diverse Albertans.
As your voice on campus, we know this can be a difficult and scary time, especially for transgender, two-spirit, and/or gender non-conforming students.
