MEET THE BANDS
Each band is fighting for their chance to play for YOU at Fall Fest 2027! Come on out and help us crown the winner. Here’s who you can expect to see:
Allura Red
Allura Red is an alternative rock band from Grande Prairie, Alberta, established in May of 2024. Their sound stems from our love of all rock and roll from the grunge era from the early 90s to modern radio rock of the 2010s. In May of 2026, they released their first ever single “Give or Take” with our debut album titled “what’s next?” soon to follow in early 2027.

Kristen Elin
Kristen Elin is an indie folk-pop band who uses confessional lyrical imagery and earworm melodies to create a landscape of deeply intimate story. They bring listeners on an introspective and sometimes danceable journey, reminiscent of the music of Lizzy McAlpine, Phoebe Bridgers, and Victoria Canal.

Pails/Buckets
Pails/Buckets’ delicate balance of rock, punk, and folk captures the listener’s attention like a bite on the ass. Their music is a mishmash of different eras of alternative songwriters, retaining the attitudes of indie icons such as Lou Reed and Stephen Malkmus, while occasionally shedding the slacker to perform intimate country-folk numbers.
Though 2026 is meant to be the year of the horse, the band is on track to make it one of the bucket. In the first three months of 2026, Pails/Buckets played their first festival gig (Winterruption YEG), their first out of province show (Victoria, BC), and released their debut EP, Western Hog Exchange. The band kept that momentum going this summer, with a 5-day tour across the prairie provinces.
Pails and/or buckets aren’t mirrors. They’ve been puked on, kicked, and used as ashtrays on acreages. But if you want something real, albeit occasionally ugly, listen to Pails/Buckets.

Petrichord
Based in Edmonton, Alberta, Petrichord is the product of five extremely different musicians: a classical bassist, an alt-rock drummer, a math-rock guitarist, a musical theatre singer, and a hard rock guitarist. Together, they combine to make a new unique sound of rock music. Originally a three-piece, they have been a five person band since September 2025, and released their debut EP “The Garden” in March of 2026 produced by Walter Flores and Lucas Wentworth.

Scene 17
After being born from too many nights of listening to 2000s alt/punk music, Scene 17 has emerged from rural Alberta to take on the Edmonton music scene. Bringing high energy and decibels to every set, this pop-punk quartet released their debut single in May of 2026.
