Produce Pop-up

 

Join us for SAMU’s Produce Pop-Up, where you can get a FREE bundle of fresh vegetables! You’ll have the opportunity to choose from a variety of options to build a custom bundle that provides you with a basket of produce to use in your home cooking.

How produce pop-up works

 

You may choose from a variety of fresh produce items* to build your own bundle:
  • Root vegetables such as potatoes and carrots
  • Leafy greens, such as lettuce and spinach
  • Fruiting vegetables, such as cucumber and tomatoes
* items are subject to availability; item availability may vary between dates.
* Students must present their valid MacEwan student ID to pick and receive a bundle.

Location: 2nd Floor SAMU Building

Please note that Produce Pop-Up is available from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on a first-come, first-served basis (while supplies last). The schedule below includes all planned dates:

I HAVE A CLASS DURING PRODUCE POP-UP. CAN I STILL GET A BUNDLE?

Produce Pop-Up runs from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM or until supplies last. You may only receive a free bundle from the Pop-Up during this time.

AM I ABLE TO GRAB A PRODUCE BUNDLE FOR A PEER OR CLASSMATE?

Your peers or classmates must come to Produce Pop-Up in person. All students must follow item maximums and cannot take additional items for someone else.

DO I NEED TO STAND IN LINE FOR PRODUCE POP-UP?

With Produce Pop-Up being popular, you may need to stand in line for an extended period of time to receive your free bundle. If you are experiencing a disability that prevents you from standing in line, please contact our Food Support team at sabreakfastclub@macewan.ca to inquire about possible accommodations.

WHAT DOES PRODUCE POP-UP COST?

Produce Pop-Up is free for all MacEwan students!
