September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
The Program’s department emphasizes building a stronger community on campus. We promote a healthy campus culture that educates, motivates, and empowers students to create community and sustain positive change personally, locally, and globally.
Taking part in educating ourselves during National Day for Truth and Reconciliation allows us to recognize the importance and impact of this day. As well as allowing us to heal together. Below are events and initiatives going around our community that you might be interested in:
September 30, 2024 | 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (MT) kihew waciston is holding a registered event located in 9-100, Robbins Health Centre. For more information, click here.
September 29, 2024 | 6:00 – 7 p.m. (MT) The city of Fort Saskatchewan are holding an open mic style event open for anyone to join located in West River’s Edge. For more information, click here.
September 29, 2024 | 1:00 – 4 p.m. and September 30, 2024 | 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. (MT) West Edmonton Mall is having an open event located at the center stage, level one, phase 1. Near the Hudson’s Bay Company. For more information, click here.

September 30, 2024 | 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. (MT) The Alberta Aviation Museum is having an event that is open and free to anyone. For more information, click here.
September 30, 2024 | 11 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (MT) Metro Cinema is opening a free screening of Dr. Jules Arita Koostachin’s documentary. Doors and the pipe ceremony starts at 11am and the film starts at 12pm. For more information, click here.
