On a cold winter day or when I am sick my mother always makes me a warm cup of chai, she has been doing so for as long as I can remember. She stands by that fact that chai will fix everything, and you will feel better after one cup. Even now when I come home from school, she will make me a cup of chai and with the first sip comes all the memories of my childhood. Drinking chai is more than just drinking a hot beverage, it is about time spent with family.

 Ingredients

  • Water ¾ cup
  • Milk ½ cup
  • Black tea 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger Skin Add 3
  • Whole Cloves Add 2
  • Green Cardamom Pods Add 2

 Instructions

  • Add in Black Tea, ginger skin, whole cloves, and green cardamom together into water and bring to a boil and let it boil for a few minutes.
  • Add milk and let it all boil. Let the milk rise 2 times.
  • Pour the Chai into a cup using a strainer.
  • Enjoy!
